HUMAN RIGHTS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION

Human Rights Research Association (İHAD) has been founded by a group including legists, academics and human right activists in 2006 in Ankara .

İHAD, as a human rights movement independent from states, governments, political and ideological groups, conducts researching, follow-up, monitoring, reporting and publication activities and projects in different areas of human rights.

Our vision:

The vision of Human Rights Research Association is a world where law, freedom and justice is applied to all.

Our Mission :

To work for protecting and developing the humanitarian values through using the methods of research, monitoring, reporting and training.

The Working Areas We Focus On:

İHAD, considering the integrality of human rights and underscoring that the standards set by international humanitarian law should be enhanced, focuses on certain areas of human rights.

•  It produces written and visual training materials for expanding the Human Rights Training to a widespread and sustainable area using new tools and tactics and it arranges training studies for target groups.

•  It produces articles, research and publications in academic level on human rights concept and theory.

•  It carries out monitoring, documentation and reporting activities in the context of individual and political, economical, cultural and social rights.

•  It prepares training programs and produces written and visual materials focused on discrimination law and prohibition of discrimination.

•  It carries out applicable studies in protecting and enhancing the rights of the disabled.

•  It carries out monitoring, reporting, training and lobbying activities within the framework of the basic principles of international human rights law of refugees, asylum seekers and obligatory immigrants.

•  It conducts study and research activities on minority law. It prepares training programs aiming at ensuring the basic rights and freedoms of the minority groups.
